With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

In section 810, printed bill, page 3, line 21, after the words
'provided, however," strike out all down to and including
the word "force," in the 23d line, and insert the following:
''That if any officer of police, policeman or detective, shall
be incapacitated for the performance of duty by reason of
sickness or disability incurred in the line of his duty, for six
consecutive months, he may, at the expiration of that time,
be dismissed from the force; provided further, however, that
the said board shall have the power to dismiss said officer of
police, policeman or detective before that time, if, in their
judgment, they may deem it proper."

Strike out the whole of section 811.

Strike out in section 816, lines 13 and 14, the words "Mayor,
Comptroller and.''

Strike out from the word "Baltimore," in line 14 of said
section, all the balance of the section.

In the title of the bill strike out "eight hundred and
eleven."

Which were severally read and adopted.
Said bill, as amended, was read the second time.
On motion by Mr. Stevens,

The rules were suspended so as to give a third reading
this day to the said bill, by yeas and nays as follows :
