400 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Feb. 27,

known as the "Barber's Bill," be made the order of the day
for Tuesday next at 12 o'clock, M.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Board of
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county to build a
bridge over Beard's Creek in said county,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and deliv-
ered

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 78 of
Article XV. of the Code of Public Local Laws of Maryland,
title 'Montgomery county,' sub-title 'Rockville,' and to re-
enact the same with amendments."

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays."

Mr. Stevens, from the Committee on Corporations, reported

The House bill entitled ' 'An Act to incorporate the Union
Banking Company of Baltimore,"

With the following amendments :

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend section 14, line 6, by inserting after the word
"otherwise," "and the books, papers and accounts of said
corporation shall be open to the inspection of its stockholders,
upon application to the Board of Directors, as may be provi-
ded for in the by-laws of said company;" and strike out the
balance of said section 14.

Strike out the whole of section 16; and strike out in section
17, the number "17," and insert "16."

Which were adopted.

The said bill, as amended, was read the second time.

Mr. Lloyd, from the Committee on Chesapeake Bay and
its Tributaries reported favorably on

The House bill entitled "An Act to repeal an Act passed
January Session, 1872, chapter 131, entitled an Act for the
better protection of Oysters, Clams, Terrapins and Fish,
in the Synapuxent Bay and its tributaries, in Worcester
county and to re-enact the same with amendments."
