following as sections 47, 48, 51 and 52 of said Article XVI.
of the Code of Public Local Laws, entitled 'Prince George's
County,' under the head of 'Collectors,' in their stead,"

Recommitted to the Select Committee from which it was
reported.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act supplementary to an Act
of November Session, 1812, chapter 159, entitled an Act for
founding a University in the city or precincts of Baltimore,
by the name of the 'University of Maryland,' and to author-
ize the Regents of the University of Maryland to dispose of a
portion of the property held by the said University for the
use of its Faculty of Physic, and to apply the proceeds towards
the erection of a Hospital for the use of said Faculty, and the
School of Medicine under its direction,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay William Knabe & Co. for one seven-and-one-
third octave concert grand piano supplied the Executive
Mansion on the 17th of February, 1870,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to refund to Oliver P.
Sparks, of Talbot county, a certain sum of money erroneously
paid into the Treasury,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate a sum of
money to pay Andrew Hamilton and J. Weatherby & Sons
for labor done and materials furnished the building used by
the State Normal School,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to encourage and secure
immigration from England, Scotland and other European
countries to the State of Maryland,"

Was considered, and

On motion by Mr. Earle,

Postponed, until Thursday next, March 5th, and made the
order of the day for 1 o'clock.
