CHAPTER 497.

 

AN ACT to repeal the act of eighteen hundred and

 

seventy-two, chapter two hundred and sixty, enti-

 

tled " an act to repeal section twenty-eight, errone-

 

ously designated as section thirty-eight in said act

 

of the Code of Public Local Laws, title 'Prince

 

George's county,' sub-title 'Bladensburg;'" also

 

to repeal sections twenty-nine and thirty of the

 

Code of Public Local Laws, title " Prince George's

 

county," sub-title "Bladensburg," and to amend

 

and re-enact the" same.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That the act passed at the January session,

 

eighteen hundred and seventy-two, chapter two

 

hundred and sixty, entitled " an act to repeal section

twenty-eight of the Code of Public Local Laws, title

re-enacted.

'Prince George's county,' sub-title ' Bladensburg,' "

 

and sections twenty-nine and thirty of the Public

 

Local Laws, title " Prince George's county," sub-

 

title " Bladensburg," be and the same are hereby

 

repealed and re-enacted to read as follows :

 

SEC. 28. Thatall person s who have resided withinthe
village of Bladensburg for twelve months immediately

 

preceding the day of election, and who are qualified

 

to vote for Delegates to the General Assembly, shall,

 

on the first Monday in May, eighteen hundred and

 

seventy-four, and on the same day and month every

 

alternate year thereafter, elect, by ballot, five persons

to act as commissioners of said village, all of whom

commissioners

shall have resided within said village three years im-

 

mediately preceding the day of election, and each of

 

whom shall be the owner, in his own right, of real

 

or personal estate therein, assessed at not less than

 

three hundred dollars, and which shall have been as-

 

sessed in his name, on the assessment books of said

 

village, at least twelve months preceding the day of

 

election.

 

SEC. 29. The commissioners of said village shall
