Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

On motion by Mr. Steiner,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to introduce a bill entitled "An Act to amend the six-
teenth Article of the Code of Public General Laws, by add-
ing thereto the following sections relating to Trustees
Bonds."

On motion by Mr. Aydelott,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Aydelott, Getty and Earle
to report a bill entitled "An Act to revise an Act to incor-
porate the Buckingham Academy and Berlin Female Semen-
ary and re-enact the same with amendments."

On motion by Mr. Knight,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Knight, Longwell and
Brewer to introduce a bill to amend Article VIII. of the Code
of Public Local Laws, title Cecil county, sub-title Sheriff, by
adding thereto an additional section relating to sheriff's fees.

Also,

Leave to the Committee on Finance to introduce a bill to
appropriate a sum of money to pay R. C. Mackall & Co., of
Cecil county, for publication of State papers.

On motion by Mr. Getty, it was

Ordered, By the Senate that five hundred coppies of the
last bi-monthly report of Wm. E. Timmons, commander of
the Fishing Force, be printed for the use of the Senate.

On motion by Mr. Lloyd,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to be entitled "An Act to incorporate the
'Mountain View Cemetery' of Howard county."

Mr. Earle, from the Committee on Finance, to which had
been recommitted

The Senate bill entitled ''An A,ct to appropriate a sum of
money for the support of colored schools in this State,"

Reported said bill with the following amendment:

Strike out all from and including the word ''whereas" to sec-
tion 1.

Mr. Steiner demanding the yeas and nays upon the adop-
tion of the amendment,
