County Commissioners of Allegany county to build a new
Jail.

No. 41, An Act for the relief of the Bank of Commerce.

No. 42, An Act supplementary to an Act to establish an
Asylum for the Deaf and Dumb of the State of Maryland.

Secretary of the Senate.

Senate bill entitled "An Act to amend the charter of the
Maryland Agricultural College, passed at January Session,
1856, chapter 97,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to pay to Banner Graves,
of Washington county, the sum of twenty dollars, pension
due to Joseph Graves, late of Washington county, deceased,
a soldier of the war of 1812,''

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

On motion by Mr. Knight,
The Senate proceeded to Executive Session.

Having resumed Legislative business.

Mr. Tuck presented the memorial of certain citizens of
Prince George's county, praying an amendment of the Reg-
istration Law of the State, and submitting draft of such
amendment.

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to enlarge and extend
the powers of the College of Physicians and Surgeons of the
city of Baltimore,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to provide for the appoint-
ment of a Treasurer, and a more economical collection of
taxes in Anne Arundel county, and to repeal section 195 of
Article II. of the Code of Public Local Laws for said county,
and to enact the following in lieu thereof,"

Being on second reading,

Mr. Tuck submitted the following amendment:
