SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That the Treasurer of
the State shall keep in his office a correct list of all

 

persons to whom license shall have been granted or

CHAPTER 474.

 

AN ACT to protect a class of small birds known as

 

insectivorous birds in Baltimore county and Cecil

 

county.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That it shall be . unlawful hereafter for

kill or injure.

any person at any time to shoot, or otherwise kill,
or injure, or pursue with such intent, any of the fol-

 

lowing named birds within the limits of Baltimore

 

county and Cecil county, viz : blue bird, thrush,

 

martin, mocking bird, swallow, oriole, red bird, cat

 

bird, sparrow, whippowill, wren, pewit, goldfinch,

 

sapsucker, ground robin, hanging bird, or wood-

 

pecker ; provided, that nothing contained in this act

 

shall be so construed as to prevent the killing or

 

capture of crows, black birds, or birds of prey.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall be unlawful

disturb eggs

for any person knowingly and unnecessarily to de-

 

stroy or disturb the eggs of any of the birds protect-

 

ed by the provisions of this act.
