WHEREAS, The quantity of fish in said waters is

fast diminishing, it is wise and prudent that some

said waters and committed sundry depredations upon

the lands of the owners thereof, and have made their

escape before legal process could reach them ; there-
|
 
|
fore —
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That sections one hundred and thirteen and
|

and sections eighty-six and eighty-seven, of article
|
 
|
twenty, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Talbot

county, and also sections ninety and ninety-one, of

|
article six, of the Code of Public Local Laws of Car-
|
 
|
oline county, be and the" same are hereby repealed,
|
 
|
and the following substituted for said sections of
|
 
|
each of the aforesaid counties under sub-title " fish."

|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That it shall not be law-
|

ful for any person, with the exception of bona fide

counties, and they shall first obtain permission of

the occupants or owners of lands bordering on said

waters, of said counties heretofore named, to take or

with meshes of less size than five inches square.

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That it shall not be law-

than twelve inches deep; and all persons violating
|

the two preceding sections of this act, in either of

|
the aforesaid counties, shall, upon conviction thereof

before a justice of the peace, in the county where the

offence shall be committed, be fined not less than
|
 
|
five nor more than fifty dollars, or shall be subject
|
