igently and faithfully, to the best of their judgment,

SEC. 15. And be it enacted, That the clerk and

in such penalty, and with such security, as the com-

missioners may require, conditioned for the faithful

performance of the duties of the office of bailiff or

clerk.

SEC. 16. And be it enacted, That the commissioners

close streets, straighten widen and improve the same,

grade and pave the same, restrain all disorders and
|

disturbances, apprehend and tine all vagabonds ; and

|
may impose fines, penalties and forfeitures for the
|
 
|
violation of their ordinances.

SEC. 17. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

|
effect from the day of its passage, and the General
|
 
|
Assembly reserves to itself the right to alter, amend
|
 
|
or repeal this act.

eighty-seven, of article twenty, of the Code of Pub-

lic Local Laws of Talbot county, and also sections

|
ninety and ninety-one, of article six, of the Code
|
 
|
of Public Local Laws of Caroline county, and to
|
 
|
re-enact the same with amendments.

WHEREAS, Sundry persons from parts unknown,
