CHAPTER 463.

AN ACT to repeal sections one and three, of chap-

ter two ; section four, of chapter three ; sections

one and five, of chapter five ; section two, of chap-

ter six; section three of chapter eight; section

two, of chapter ten ; section two, of chapter eleven;

sections two and eight, of chapter twelve ; section

one, of chapter thirteen ; and section two, of

chapter eighteen, of an act passed January session,

eighteen hundred and seventy-two, chapter three

hundred and seventy-seven, entitled an act to re-

peal an act passed at the January session of

eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled an act to

repeal an act passed at January session, eighteen

hundred and sixty-eight, entitled " Public Educa-

tion," providing a general system of free public

schools for the State of Maryland, and to repeal

all laws inconsistent therewith, and to re-enact

the same with amendments, and to substitute other

sections in lieu of those repealed.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That sections one and three, of chapter

act passed January session, eighteen hundred and

seventy-two, chapter three hundred and seventy-

seven, entitled an act to repeal an act passed at Jan-

uary session, eighteen hundred and seventy, entitled

an act to repeal an act passed at January session,

eighteen hundred and sixty-eight, entitled " Public

Education," providing a general system of free pub-

lic schools, for the State of Maryland, and to repeal

all laws inconsistent therewith, and to re-enact the

same with amendments, be and the same are hereby

repealed, and the following sections enacted in lien

thereof:
