shall have the right to recover, upon suit in any
court of this State that has jurisdiction, a sum not
less than five hundred or more than one thousand
dollars for each day of refusal or neglect.

CHAPTER 447.

 

AN ACT to refund to Jer. Dyer, one of the firm of

 

Penn and Dyer, and J. Dyer and Company, and

 

to Thomas J. Hall and Company, and to Town-

 

send, French and Company, moneys erroneously

 

paid as outage and storage on tobacco.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That the Comptroller of the Treasury be

Directed to is-
sue warrant

and he is hereby authorized and directed to issue his

 

warrant upon the Treasurer in favor of Jer. Dyer,

 

one of the firm of Penn and Dyer, and J. Dyer and

 

Company, for the benefit of the following persons to

 

wit: for Jer. W. Burch, for the sum of five dollars

 

and thirty cents ; for Thomas Carrico, R. A. Moore

 

and Thomas D. Stone, for the sum of five dollars and

 

fifty cents; for John R. Turnerforthe sum of nine dol-

 

lars and ninety-five cents; for Jer. M. Burch for the

 

sum of eight dollars and twenty cents; for Horatio

 

Dyer for the sum of twenty-two dollars and twenty

ty-five cents ; for Dr. J. R. Edelen for the sum of sev-
