LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Remove such
trustee

may remove such trustee, and appoint one in his or
her stead, who shall give such bond and security as the

 

court may require ; and no sale of real estate made

 

by any trustee, by virtue of any power or appoint-

 

ment contained in any deed or will, shall be valid,.

 

unless the same shall be confirmed by 'the court, as.

 

in the case of sales made by trustees appointed by

 

the court.

CHAPTER 429.

 

A SUPPLEMENT to an act entitled " an act to in-

 

corporate a company to construct a turnpike road

 

from Hagerstown, in Washington county, to the

 

town of Sharpsburg, " passed at the January ses-

 

sion, eighteen hundred and fifty-three, chapter

 

one hundred and twenty-nine.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted ly the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That it shall be lawful for the Hagerstown

 

and Sharpsburg Turnpike Company, to erect upon

Erect toll-gate

their road a toll-gate at any point on said road, not

 

nearer than one mile of the town of Hagerstown,

 

and they are hereby authorized, empowered and di-

 

rected, to remove the present toll-gate upon the north

 

end of said road, should they at any time avail them-

 

selves of the powers and privileges contained in this

 

act.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

effect from and after its passage, and the Legislature

 

reserves to itself the right to alter, amend or repeal

 

this act at pleasure.
