SUB-SECTION 1. On and after the first day of Jan-
|
 
|
uary, eighteen hundred and seventy-five, no malt,
|
 
|
vinous, spirituous or intoxicating liquors shall be

misdemeanor, and on conviction shall be fined not

less than twenty nor more than fifty dollars, in the

discretion of the court, for the first offence, and if

convicted a second time, shall be fined not less than

SUB-SECTION 2. On the day of the general election
|
 
|
in November, in the year eighteen hundred and
|
 
|
seventy-four, the judges of the election districts of
|
 
|
Somerset county hereinbefore mentioned, shall re-
|
 
|
ceive tickets, written or printed, from the legal voters
|
 
|
thereof labeled "For License," or "Against License,"
|

and shall deposit said tickets in a separate box pro-

|
vided for that purpose ; and the said tickets, so re-
|
 
|
ceived, shall be counted and returned, and certified
|
 
|
according to law, to the Clerk of the Circuit Court
|
 
|
of Somerset county; and the same notice shall be
|
 
|
given by the sheriff of these elections, as is required
|
 
|
in the case of other elections ; and said election shall
|
 
|
in all respects be subject to and governed by the
|
