LAWS OF MARYLAND.

Shall apply.

6. The provisions of the preceding sections shall

 

apply to all cases of tenancies from year to year ;

 

provided, a notice of six months in writing shall be

 

given by the landlord or his agent or representative

 

to the tenants before the expiration of the current

 

year ; and provided further, that after proof of such.

 

notice being given, no proof of waiver thereof shall

 

be received except it be in writing, under the hand

 

of said landlord or his agent, representative, or an

 

express waiver thereof, proved upon the testimony

 

of one or more disinterested witnesses.

In force.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall

 

take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 415.

 

AN ACT to authorize the Comptroller to audit and

 

settle the claims for pension of Elizabeth E. Shanks

 

and Mary Cullember, of St. Mary's county.

 

WHEREAS, the names of Elizabeth E. Shanks and

Preamble.

Mary Cullember were improperly spelled in the act

 

of eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter four hun-

 

dred and seventy-seven, by reason whereof said

 

parties have lost the benefit of said act ; therefore —

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

seven, providing for payment of pensions, shall in all
