CHAPTER 405,

AN ACT authorizing and directing the County
|
|
|
Commissioners of Allegany county to take pos-
|
|
|
session of the old county road called the Cumber-
|
|
|
land and Somerset road, running from the National
|
|
|
road near the Narrows, and thence via Wills'
|
|
|
Creek, Jennou's Run; thence to the Pennsylvania
|
|
|
line near to Wellersburg, Pennsylvania.
|
|
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
|
|
Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Alle-
|
|
|
gany county be and they are hereby authorized and
|
|
|
directed to take possession and charge of the trav-
|
|

being the road and bridges thereon, running from
|
|
|
the National road, above the Narrows, via Wills'
|
|
|
Creek, Jennou's Run and Barrelville, to the Penn-
|

sylvania line near Wellersburg, Pennsylvania, and
|
|
|
to repair and maintain said road as a county road.
|
|

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall be in
|
|
|
force from its passage.

CHAPTER 406.
AN ACT to repeal article twenty-one, of section
seven, of an act entitled an act to create State
Banking Institutions, and to enable the several
banks of this State (State and National,) to avail
of the provisions thereof, passed at January ses-
sion, eighteen hundred and seventy, chapter two
hundred and six, and to impose a tax on the issue
of notes put in circulation by State Banks and
Banking Institutions.
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That article twenty-one, of section seven,
