CHAPTER 352.

 

AN ACT ceding to the United States of America

 

the jurisdiction over the lands in Prince George's

 

county, owned by the United States and Constitut-

 

ing the site of Fort Washington, and also over the

 

lands that may hereafter be conveyed to the United

 

States adjoining thereto, for Military and Naval

 

purposes, and which are herein described.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Jurisdiction
ceded

Maryland, That the jurisdiction and control over the

 

residue of the lands owned by the United States, and

 

constituting the site of Fort Washington, in the

 

county of Prince George's, and the jurisdiction and

 

control over the lands hereinafter described or ap-

 

portion thereof, in said county, that may be hereafter

 

conveyed by deed duly executed, acknowledged and

 

recorded to the United States, and the water, water-

 

rights and all other rights appertaining thereto, be
and the same is hereby ceded and vested in the Uni-

 

ted States of America for Military and Naval pur-

 

poses; the said cession, as to said land that may

 

hereafter be conveyed, to take effect whenever the

lands, to be hereafter conveyed, at a granite stone

 

marked U. S. A., planted on the south side of the

 

road leading from Fort Washington to Piscataway,

 

and about nine perches from said road, and running

 

thence north thirty-eight degrees four minutes, west

 

fifty-four perches and fifty one-hundredths of a perch

 

to a stone marked U. S. ; thence north thirty-four

 

degrees thirty miuutes, east forty perches to a stake ;

 

thence north sixty-two degrees thirty minutes, east

 

forty perches to a stake ; thence north forty-eight

 

degrees forty-five minutes, east twenty-eight perches
