CHAPTER 319.

 

AN ACT for the relief of the estate of James Spicer,

 

and the sureties on his bond, as tax collector for

 

years eighteen hundred and fifty and eighteen

 

hundred and fifty-one.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Released.

Maryland, That all taxes due the State of Maryland

 

by James Spicer, collector of taxes of Harford county

 

in the years eighteen hundred and fifty and eighteen

 

hundred and fifty-one, be and the same are hereby

 

released ; provided, nothing herein contained shall

 

be so construed as to release either the same James

 

Spicer or his estate, or his sureties, from the payment

 

of costs incurred in the proceedings for the collection

 

of same.

 

Approved April 11th, 1874.

 

CHAPTER 320.

 

AN ACT to repeal section sixteen, of article twenty-

 

nine, of the Code of Public General Laws, title

 

" Courts," sub-title " Judgments," and to amend

 

and re-enact the same.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Repealed and

" Courts," sub-title " Judgments " be and the same is

 

hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as

 

follows :

 

16. On all judgments rendered in any court of law,

or if there be a stay thereon, at any time within

 

twelve years after the expiration or removal of such

 

stay; when there has been no discharge of parties to

 

such judgment by death or by marriage.
