CHAPTER 314.

AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the use
|
 
|
and benefit of the House of Reformation and
|
 
|
Instruction for Colored Children, situated in Prince
|
 
|
George's county, for the erection of an additional
|
 
|
family building and other necessary shops and
|
 
|
out-houses.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the sum of fifteen thousand dollars,
|

be and the same is hereby appropriated for the use

and benefit of the House of Reformation and In-
|
 
|
struction for Colored Children, situated in Prince
|
 
|
George's county, to be applied to the erection of one
additional family building and other necessary shops
|
 
|
and out-houses, to be used in connection with said
|
 
|
institution.
|
 
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller be
|

gers of the " House of Reformation and Instruction

for Colored Children," the sum of money appro-

priated in the preceding section ; provided, that the

said board of managers shall adopt plans, prepare

|
specifications, invite proposals and enter into con-
|
 
|
tract with responsible persons, to be approved by
|
 
|
the Board of Public Works, that the above appro-
|
 
|
priation will complete the building or buildings con-
|
 
|
templated by this act.

|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
