CHAPTER 314.
AN ACT to appropriate a sum of money for the use
and benefit of the House of Reformation and
Instruction for Colored Children, situated in Prince
George's county, for the erection of an additional
family building and other necessary shops and
out-houses.
SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of Maryland, That the sum of fifteen thousand dollars,	Appropriation.
be and the same is hereby appropriated for the use
and benefit of the House of Reformation and In-
struction for Colored Children, situated in Prince
George's county, to be applied to the erection of one additional family building and other necessary shops
and out-houses, to be used in connection with said
institution.
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the Comptroller be	Draw warrant
and he is hereby authorized and directed to draw	for same.
his warrant upon the Treasurer, to pay the Mana-
gers of the " House of Reformation and Instruction
for Colored Children," the sum of money appro-
priated in the preceding section ; provided, that the	Proviso
said board of managers shall adopt plans, prepare
specifications, invite proposals and enter into con-
tract with responsible persons, to be approved by
the Board of Public Works, that the above appro-
priation will complete the building or buildings con-
templated by this act.
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
effect from the date of its passage.	In force.
