Resolutions to the General Assembly of Virginia, at Rich-
mond.

Which were read the first time.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to appropriate the sum
of fifteen hundred dollars for refurnishing the rooms of the
Court of Appeals of Maryland,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 67 of
Article LI. of the Code of Public General Laws, which was
added by Act of 1868, chapter 443, relating to. the lien of
and executions on judgments of Justices of the Peace, and to
re-enact the same with amendments,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

The senate bill entitled "An Act to amend an Act passed
at January Session, 1868, chapter 307, entitled An Act for
incorporating the Western Maryland College,"

Was read the second time and ordered to be engrossed for
a third reading.

Mr. Blake presented the petition of memorialists, asking 576
the passage of Mr. Fenton's House bill entitled "Wages At-
tachment Bill."

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

Mr. Stevens presented the petition of one thousand five
hundred and fifty-three names in favor of the passage of Mr.
Fenton's bill, known as the "Attachment Bill."

Which was read and referred to the Committee on Judicial
Proceedings.

The hour of 12 o'clock having arrived,

The Senate proceeded to the consideration of the order of
the day,

Being the amendment submitted by Mr. Davis to the bill,
entitled "An Act to establish a State Board of Health."

(By unanimous consent,)

Mr. Davis withdrew his proposed amendment.

The question recurring upon the engrossment of the bill,
