CHAPTER 287.

AN ACT to authorize a reduction of the capital

stock of the New Central Coal Cornpnay.

Reduce capital
stock

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
Maryland, That the President and Directors of the

New Central Coal Company, (a corporation of the

State of Maryland, incorporated by act of the General

Assembly,) be and are hereby authorized and em-

powered to reduce the capital stock of said company

to three millions of dollars, by reducing the par

value of its shares of stock by the purchase and

cancellation of stock; provided, always, that their

actions in so doing shall be ratified by the holders of

a majority of said shares of stock.

SEC. 2. And be it further enacted, That this act shall

take effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 288.

AN ACT to repeal sections one, three and five, of

chapter four hundred and two, of the acts of

eighteen hundred and sixty-seven, entitled an act

to enlarge and confirm the powers and authority

of St. Mary's Industrial School for Boys, of the

City of Baltimore, incorporated under the general

provisions of the twenty-sixth article of the Code

of Public General Laws, and to re-enact the same

with amendments, and one additional section

thereto to stand as section six.
