property, the purchase money, or other proceeds

 

thereof, or so much of the same as may be necessary,

 

shall be laid out and expended under the direction of

the Faculty of Physic of the University of Maryland ;
in the erection for the use of the said faculty and the

 

School of Medicine under its direction, upon the lot

 

belonging to the said University, situated on the

 

north-east corner of Green and Lombard streets, in

 

said city, of a hospital, either by the construction of

 

an entirely new building, or by the alteration and im-

 

provement of the present college building on said lot.

 

SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That the said new hospital

or building when erected, shall be held by the said

 

regents for the use and be subject to the goverment
and control of the said Faculty of Physic; in the

 

same manner, and to the same extent, as the In-

 

firmary building and premises thereof, the sale of

 

which is authorized by this act; and the proceeds of

 

such sale, if in excess of the amount required for the

 

purposes hereinbefore set forth, shall be held by said

 

regents for the benefit of said Faculty of Physic, and

 

shall be applied under its direction in furtherance

 

of the advancement of medical science, in connection

 

with said university, and in accordance with its

 

charter.

SEC. 4. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

 

effect from the date of its passage.

CHAPTER 199.

 

AN ACT to authorize the construction of tire-proof

 

vaults in the court-house in Eaaton.

 

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

 

Maryland, That the County Commissioners of Talbot
