Further proceedings under the call were suspended.

Mr. Earle moved that the bill and amendment under con-
sideration be postponed until Thursday next and that it be
made the order of the day for 1 o'clock,

Which was adopted.

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to establish a Commis-
sion of Fisheries of the State of Maryland, define its duties
and to appropriate a sum of money to defray the expenses
thereof,"

Being on second reading,

Mr. Brattan submitted the following amendment:

Section 1, line 3, strike out the word "two" and insert the
word "one" in lieu thereof.

Mr. Fields demanding the yeas and nays upon the adoption
of the amendment.

the cost be made, and a report thereof be made to the next
General Assembly of Maryland."
