hereby repealed and re-enacted so as to read as
|
 
|
follows :

1. From and after the passage of this act, it shall

not be lawful for any person or persons to take, cap-

ture or destroy fish by seine or seines, dragnet or

dragnets, fish-baskets or fish pots, ell-weirs, brush or

fascine nets, or any means or contrivance whatever,

of the nature of a seine, which are known to destroy

or capture fish, in the Monocacy River, or any of its
|
 
|
tributaries, within the limits of Frederick county, in
|
 
|
the State ; provided, that it may be lawful to [lawful

to] take fish in any way in any of the said tributa-

ries, one mile above the mouth of such tributaries.

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

WHEREAS, Joseph Graves, late of Washington
county, deceased, a soldier of the war of eighteen

of twenty dollars, being the amount due to him on a

pension from the State of Maryland, at the time of

funeral expenses of the deceased soldier, therefore —
