of the provisions of this act, either of the parties so

CHAPTER 165.

AN ACT supplementary to an act, passed at January
|
 
|
session, eighteen hundred and fifty-two, entitled
|
 
|
an act to incorporate the Santa Clara Mining As-
|
 
|
sociation of Baltimore, repealing a supplement to
|
 
|
said act passed at January session, eighteen hun-
|
 
|
dred and sixty-seven, authorizing said association
|
 
|
to make and enforce payment of all calls or assess-
|
 
|
ments upon its capital stock and re-enacting the
|
 
|
same with amendments.

WHEREAS, it hath been represented to the Gen-
|

eral Assembly of Maryland, that it hath become
|
 
|
necessary for the Santa Clara Mining Association of
|
 
|
Baltimore, to call upon the stockholders for the pur-
|
 
|
pose of obtaining the means necessary to free it from
its debts, therefore —

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
 
|
Maryland, That the President and Board of Directors

to make calls or assessments, additional to any here-
