and expense of the police force employed by them

 

under this act, and all such other matters as may

 

be of public interest, in connection with the duties

 

assigned to them, and said books, journals and

 

other documents, and the vouchers for all payments

 

by said Board of Police Commissioners shall at all

 

times be open to the inspection of the Mayor and

 

Register of the City of Baltimore and either of them,

 

and it shall be the duty of the Comptroller of the

 

City of Baltimore, to examine all bills and accounts

 

presented by said Board of Police Commissioners and

 

the vouchers therefor.

 

SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take

CHAPTER 147.

 

AN ACT to refund to Ellen Hevalo of Cecil county,

 

a sum of money erroneously demanded of her by

 

the Clerk of the Circuit Court of Cecil county, for

 

a license, and paid by said clerk into the Treasury.

 

SECTION 1. Se it enacted by the General Assembly of

Appropriation
to Mien Hevalo

Maryland, That the Treasurer be and he is hereby au-
thorized and directed, upon the warrant of the Comp-

 

troller, to pay to Ellen Hevalo of Cecil county, or

 

her order, the sum of sixteen dollars and sixty-seven

 

cents, being the sum which was upon an erroneous

 

construction of the license laws demanded and re-

 

ceived by the Clerk of the Circuit Court for Cecil

 

county, from the said Ellen Hevalo, for a license,

 

and paid by said clerk into the Treasury.

 

SEC 2. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
