CHAPTER 126.
|
 
|
AN ACT to authorize the Town Commissioners of
|
 
|
Berlin, in Worcester county, to erect a guard-
|
 
|
house in said town.
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Erect
guard-house.
|
Maryland, That the Town Commissioners of Berlin,
|
 
|
in Worcester county be, and the same are hereby,
|
 
|
authorized to erect a guard-house in said town.
|
Make levy
|
SEC. 2. And be it enacted, That the County Com-
missioners of Worcester county be, and they are
|
 
|
hereby authorized to levy the sum of one hundred
|
 
|
and fifty dollars for the purpose of building said
|
 
|
guard-house, if, in their judgment, the same be
|
 
|
proper.
|
In force.
|
SEC. 3. And be it enacted, That this act shall take
|
 
|
effect from the date of its passage.
|
 
|

CHAPTER 127.
|
 
|
AN ACT for the better protection of birds in Wi-
|
 
|
comico county.
|
Not lawful to
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
shoot, kill or
|
Maryland, That it shall not be lawful for any person
|
trap.
|
or persons in Wicomico county, to shoot, kill or in
|
 
|
any way trap or destroy any mocking bird, blue birds,
|
 
|
swallows, martins, robins, cat birds, woodpeckers,
|
 
|
sparrows, wrens, whippoowills, doves, or any other
|
 
|
insectivorous birds, at any season of year, under the
|
 
|
penalty of two dollars for each bird so killed, taken
|
 
|
or destroyed, provided however, that nothing in this
|
 
|
act shall be construed as to prevent any person from
|
 
|
killing the birds mentioned herein when found upon
|
 
|
his, her or their own premises.
