Leave to the Committee on Finance to report a bill to re-
fund George T. Parsons, late collector of State and county
taxes in Somerset county, the sum of thirty-seven dollars and
fifty cents, erroneously paid into the Treasury.
On motion by Mr. Getty,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceed-
ings to report a bill, to authorize and empower the Governor
to appoint officers of registration in the several election dis-
tricts of Garrett county.
On motion by Mr. McCulloh,
Leave was granted to Messrs. McCulloh, Walsh and Lloyd
to report a bill entitled "An Act to authorize the Mayor and
Council of Frostburg to construct water works for, and to lay
water mains throughout said town, to buy the necessary ap-
purtenances for the protection of property, and to issue bonds
for that purpose."
On motion by Mr. Fields,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
report a bill to incorporate the Federalsburg Cemetery.
On motion by Mr. Blake,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Judicial Proceedi-
ings to report a bill to regulate the admission of minors into
theatres, or places of amusement.
On motion by Mr. Denson, it was
Ordered, that it be entered on the Journal that Senator
Billingsley is absent from his seat on account of sickness.
Mr. Stevens submitted the following order :
Ordered, That the memorial of the Baltimore City Passen-
ger Railway Company and the report of the Select Committee
thereupon, and the memorial of the Baltimore, Peabody
Heights and Waverly Railway Company, and all memorials
and bills, that may hereafter be received, in relation to a
modification or abolishment of the "Park Tax," imposed by
law, by the city of Baltimore, upon the Passenger Railway
Companies of said city, be and the same are hereby referred to
a Select Committee, consisting of the Senators of Baltimore
city, and that Senator Denson be appointed Chairman of said
Committee.
