CHAPTER 53.

AN ACT to amend the sixth section, of the act of

eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, chapter four

hundred and ten, entitled " an act to incorporate

the Mineral Hill Mining Company of Maryland,"

by dispensing with the making and publishing of

the annual statement therein provided for, and

by providing that statements of the affairs of the

said company, shall be made as provided for in the

sixty-sixth section of the act of Assembly of eighteen

hundred and sixty-eight, chapter four hundred and

seventy-one.

SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of

Maryland, That so much of the sixth section of the

act of eighteen hundred and fifty-eight, chapter four

hundred and ten, entitled " an act to incorporate the

Mineral Hill Mining Company of Maryland," as

requires the said company to make the annual state-

ment of its affairs as therein required, and to publish

the same once a week for four successive weeks in

one or more newspapers of Baltimore city, be and

the same is hereby repealed; but the Treasurer of

the said company, shall be subject to the provisions

of section sixty-six, of the act of eighteen hundred

and sixty-eight, chapter four hundred and seventy-

one, providing for the making of statements of the

affairs of corporations, when the same are required of

him by any person or persons owning live per cent, of

the capital of the said corporation.

effect from the date of its passage.
