The House bill entitled "An Act to alter and amend the
charter of the Hampshire and Baltimore Coal Company, in-
corporated by an Act entitled an Act to recognize the Hamp-
shire and Baltimore Coal Companies, a corporation created by
and existing under the laws of the State of West Virginia, as
a corporation in the State of Maryland, and to authorize it to
exercise the powers and privileges of a corporation within the
State of Maryland, for mining and other purposes, passed at
January session, 1864, chapter 295, by repealing the second
section thereof, and amending the same, and re-enacting it
as amended."

Which was read the second time.

The Clerk of the House of Delegates appeared and de-
livered

The House bill entitled "An Act to repeal chapter 287 of
laws passed at the January Session, 1870, and to repeal sec-
tions 810, 811 and 816 of Article IV. of the Code of Public
Local Laws of Baltimore city, sub-title 'Police' and to re-
enact the following in lieu thereof."

Which was read and referred to the Baltimore city
Senators, and ordered to be printed.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled "An Act to repeal section 1 of
Article LXXIII, of the Code of Public General Laws regula-
ting the appointment of directors for the Maryland Peniten-
tiary and to re-enact the same with amendments."
