CHAPTER 10.

AN ACT to declare the sanction of the General
|
 
|
Assembly of Maryland, to the devise and bequest
|
 
|
of Henry Butler, colored, late of Baltimore city,
|
 
|
deceased, to the Trustees of the African Methodist
|
 
|
Episcopal Ebenezer Church of the City of Bal-
|
 
|
more.
|
 
|
WHEREAS, Henry Butler, late of Baltimore city,
|
Preamble
|
deceased, by his last will and testament, duly ad-
|
 
|
mitted to probate in the Orphan's Court of Baltimore
|
 
|
city, on or about the ninth day of January, in the
|
 
|
year one thousand eight hundred and seventy-three,
|
 
|
after certain specific legacies bequeathed all the rest
|
 
|
and residue of his estate to the " Trustees of the
|
 
|
African Methodist Episcopal Ebenezer Church of
|
 
|
the City of Baltimore," in said city for certain pur-
|
 
|
poses connected with the re-building of said church
|
 
|
edifice, and for certain other purposes, all of which
|
 
|
are fully set forth in the said last will and testament,
|
 
|
therefore —
|
 
|
SECTION 1. Be it enacted by the General Assembly of
|
Sanction given
to a bequest of
|
Maryland, That the sanction and consent of the
|
Henry Butler
|
General Assembly of Maryland, be and the same is
|
 
|
hereby given and declared to the devise and bequest
|
 
|
of Henry Butler, colored, late of the City of Bal-
|
 
|
