Endorsed, "Rejected for want of a constitutional ma-
jority."

Mr. McColgan, from the Committee on the Judiciary, re-
ported unfavorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal section 82, of
Article 29, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Courts," providing for rendering judgments for the
damages awarded by the jury, upon the ratification of in-
quisitions for condemning lands, and to re-enact the same
with amendments, and to add additional sections to the said
Article of the Code.

The unfavorable report was adopted.

Mr. Freaner, Chairman of the Committee on the Judi-
ciary, reported without amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to enable the Court of Ap-
peals to rehear the case of Samuel Barth vs. Simon Rosen-
field & Co., if in the judgment and opinion of the Court of
Appeals it would tend to do justice between the parties.

Which was considered.

Mr. Merryman, Chairman of the Committee on Agricul-
ture, reported without amendment,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to promote the efficiency
of the Maryland Agricultural College.

Which was considered and laid on the table.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following mes-
sage:

BY THE SENATE,

April 6th, 1874.
Gentlemen of the House of Delegates:

We respectfully request the return to this Body of the
bill entitled "An Act to authorize the County Commissioners;
of Prince George's county to subscribe to the capital stock of
the Washington City and Point Lookout Rail Road Company,
and of the Southern Maryland Rail Road Company," which
was lost for want of a constitutional majority.
