Mr. Bird submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the thanks of the Republican members of
this House are hereby tendered to the majority of this Body,
and to Milton Y. Kidd, Chief Clerk, and Dr, Wm. H. Cole,
Reading Clerk, for their uniform courtesy and many acts of
kindness towards the minority of the members of the House
of Delegates.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Greenfield submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Committee on Claims pay Milton Y.
Kidd, Chief Clerk, and Wm. H. Cole, Reading Clerk, the
sum of three hundred dollars each, for the faithtul per-
formance of their duties; Geo. W. Murdoch, one hundred dol-
lars, and Thog. H. Moore, Reading Clerk pro tem., for their
services, upon the certificate of the Speaker.
