1874.] OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATE'S. 1527

The Senate bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments section 29, of chapter 36, of the Acts of 1872,
entitled an Act to add a new Article to the Code of Public
General Laws, regulating the inspection of tobacco,

Was read a third time and passed by yeas and nays, as
follows:

Said bill was then returned to the Senate.
Mr. Koons submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the thanks of the members of this House
are eminently due and are hereby tendered to our Speaker,
the Honorable Jesse K. Hines, for the uniform courtesy and
kind consideration which he has always, under the most try-
ing circumstances, extended to each and all of us, and we
beg leave to assure him of our high appreciation of the emi-
nent ability, fairness and impartiality with which he has
discharged the duties of this branch of the General Assembly.

Which was unanimously adopted.

Mr. Brace submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the order of Mr. Koons be engrossed,
signed by the Speaker pro tem., (Mr. Merryman,) and the
Chief Clerk of the House of Delegates, and presented to the
Honorable Jesse K. Hines.
