Mr. Watkios, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported favorably,

The till entitled an Act to refund to Nathan E. Berry, of
Baltimore City, for the benefit of J. S. Middleton and others,
money erroneously paid by them to Inspectors of Tobacco in
Baltimore City, for outage and storage.

Which was read a second time.
On motion of Mr. Leonard,

The House met.
Mr. Keech submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Printers' furnish to the State Librarian
two copies of all House Bills, to be bound in two volumes,
and preserved in the Library for the use of the Legislature,
and that the person appointed to index the Journal of the
House prepare an index to said bills, to be bound with each
volume.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Stewart, of Howard, submitted the following order:

Ordered, That during the recess of the Legislature, the
Hall of the House of Delegates and Committee Rooms thereto
attached, shall be under the care and control of the present
Hallkeeper.

The Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing and directing
the County Commissioners of Allegany county to take pos-
session of the old County Road, called "The Cumberland and
Somerset Road," running from the National Road, near the
Narrows, and thence via Wills' Creek, Jennons' Run, thence
to the Pennsylvania line, near Wellersburg, Pennsylvania,
