Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal and re-enact with
amendments, section 84, of chapter 418, of the Act of 1872,
entitled an Act to repeal sections 79, 80, 81, 82, 83, 84 and
85, of Article 35, of the Code of Public General Laws, title
"Elections," sub-title "Representatives in Congress," and to
enact the following in lieu thereof, so as to make Garrett
county part of the Sixth Congressional District.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to provide for the appoint-
ment of counsel to represent the State in the matter of the
arbitration proposed to be had on the boundary line between
Maryland and Virginia, and to appropriate a sum of money
to pay the expenses of such arbitration.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on the Judiciary.

Also, returned,

The bill entitled an Act to refund A. S. Abell, of Balti-
more county, a sum of money erroneously paid into the State
Treasury,

Endorsed, "Reported unfavorably from the Committee on
Finance, and the report adopted."

Also, unfavorably,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize the Appeal
Tax Court, of Baltimore City, to review and correct the val-
uation of the property of Joseph Neal, on Hanover street, in
said city,

Endorsed, "Reported unfavorably from the Committee on
Finance, and the report adopted."

Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported without amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to pay to Nathan Haines
a sum of money erroneously paid by him into the Treasury.

Which was read a second time.
Also, with amendment,

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of St. John's
College.

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

In line 4, section 1, strikeout "fifteen," and insert "ten."
The proposed amendment was adopted.
