So the motion to postpone informally the further consider-
ation of the bill, did not previl.

The question then rucurring upon the passage of the bill,

Mr. Joyce moved that the House do now resolve itself in-
to a Committee of the Whole.

Which was decided in the affirmative,

And the House resolved itself into a Committee of the
Whole.

After some time passed in Committee of the Whole House,

Mr. Keech, Chairman of the Committee of the Whole
House, reported that the Committee had had under consider-
ation the Senate Printed Bill No. 175, together with the
amendments, as proposed by the Committee on Ways and
Means, had made some progress therein, and asked to be dis-
charged from, the further consideration of the same.

Mr. Buchanan moved that the report of the Committee be
adopted.
Mr. Watkins demanded the previous question.

The question then being,

"Shall the main question be now put ?"

Mr. Brace demanded the yeas and nays.

The demand being sustained,
