Which was read and referred to the Committee on Federal
Relations.

Mr, Wack, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported with-
out amendment,

The Senate bill entitled an Act authorizing and directing
the County Commissioners of Allegany county to take pos
session of the old County Road, called the "Cumberland and
Somerset Road," running from the National Road, near the
Narrows, and thence via Wills' Creek, Jennon's Run,
to the Pennsylvania line,near to Wellersburg, Pennsylvania.

Which was read a second time.

The following Acts were this day presented to his Excel-
lency the Governor, for his approval, viz:

OFFICE OF THE

CHIEF CLERK OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

April 3d, 1874.

No. 224. An Act to extend the limits of Baltimore City by
including and annexing a part or portion of Baltimore county
in and to the said city, and to provide for taking a vote of
the people residing in said part or portion to be be so annex-
ed, for or against such annexation.

No. 225. An Act to approve an Act passed January ses-
sion, 1872, chapter 245, entitled an Act to authorize the
County Commissioners of Anne Arundel county to subscribe
to the capital stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Rail
Road Company, as provided by section 54, of Article 3, of the
Constitution.

No. 226. An Act to authorize the Academy of Music of
Baltimore, to issue its bonds bearing an interest not exceed-
ing eight per cent, per annum, and to secure the same by
mortgage.

No. 227. An Act to authorize the Treasurer of the State to
pay Wm. H. Collins, of Baltimore City, a sum of money due
him for services rendered as Screwsman in Tobacco Ware-
house No. 5, and erroneously paid into the Treasury.

No. 228. An Act for the benefit of Julia A. Dorsey, widow
of Edward Dorsey.

favorably,

The Joint Resolutions as to officers of the State and mem-
bers of the General Assembly receiving free passes from
