third reading.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the bills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

The bill entitled an act to pay to Nathan Haines a sum of
money erroneously paid by him into the Treasury.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Committee
on Ways and Means.

The Secretary of the Senate returned the following bills,
Severally endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

The bill entitled an Act for the relief of Biscoe Adams,
one of the sureties on the official bond of Robt. J. Bean, for-
mer Collector of State taxes for St. Mary's county.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to regulate the trial fees of the
State's Attorney for Harford county.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to repeal section 31, of Article 12,
of the Code of Public Local Laws, title "Harford County,"
sub-title "County Commissioners/' and to re-enact the same
with amendments.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the appointment of
Officers of Registration in Garrett county.

Also,

The bill entitled an Act to regulate fences on adjoining
lands of persons in Prince George's county.

The Secretary of the Senate returned

The bill entitled an Act to extend the limits of Baltimore
City, by including and annexing a part or portion of Balti-
more county in and to the said city, and to provide for tak-
ing a vote of the people residing in said part or portion to be
so annexed, for or against such annexation,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ment:"

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

At the end of section 3, insert: "Provided, That nothing in
this Act contained shall be held to repeal, or in any manner
effect or interfere with the provisions of the Act of 1870, chap-
ter 99, entitled an Act to lay off streets in Baltimore county,
adjoining Baltimore City, and to repeal certain Acts incon-
