The House met.

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Baltimore
Trust, Safe Deposit, Insurance and Guarantee Company of
Baltimore.

Being on its second reading,

Mr, Merryman submitted the following amendments:

AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Section 2, line 5, strike out from words "dispose of," to
"and," in same line.

Section 6, line 6: After word "duties," in line 6, insert
"provided the said Court shall deem it necessary to require
any furtber security."

Section 8, line 7: After the word "office," in line 7, insert
"if in the opinion of the Court the said security shall he
sufficient."

Section 8, line 7, strike out after the word "office" in line
7, to the word "and," in line 9.

The several amendments were respectively adopted,

And the bill, as amended, read a second time and or-
dered to be engrossed for a third reading.

The Secretary of the Sentate returned

The bill entitled an Act to incorporate the Solomon's
Island Oyster and Fruit Packing and Manufacturing Com-
pany of Calvert county, Maryland,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays, with proposed amend-
ment:"

AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend section 6, by adding at the end of section, "and
the stockholders shall be liable for all the debts and liabili-
ties of the said corporation to the amount of the-stock in said
corporation holding them respectively."
