Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, reported without amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act for the relief of Noah Web-
ster, of Somerset county.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Nutwell, Chairman of the Committee on Corporations,
reported without amendments,

The Senate hill entitled an Act to amend an Act to amend
the charter of the Peabody Savings Bank of Baltimore City,
approved April 1st, 1872.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Seth, from the Committee on the Judiciary, reported
unfavorably,

A hill entitled an Act for the protection of the public
against imposters in the Judicial profession.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the unfavora-
ble report,

Mr. Koons moved to substitute the bill for the unfavorable
report.

The motion was not sustained.

The unfavorable report was then adopted.

Also, unfavorably,

A hill entitled an Act to reduce the costs of transcripts of
records in case of appeal from any of the Courts of this State
to the Court of Appeals thereof.

The unfavorable report was adopted.

Mr. McColgan, also from the Committee on the Judiciary,

A bill entitled an Act to repeal section 203, of Article 20,
of the Code of Public General Laws, title "Telegraph."
