WEDNESDAY, April 1st, 1874.

The House met and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Kinzer

Present at the call of the roll, the following members :

Messrs. Hiaes, (Speaker,) Colton, Henkle. Robinson, Nut-
well, Bird, Turner, of Calvert, Lancaster, Hawkins, Keech,
Buchanan, Matthews, Merryman, Turner, of Baltimore
county, Banks, Seth, Valliant, Sudler, Coulbourn, Duer,
Gordy, Johnson, Hodson, Turner, of Cecil, Mackey, Davis,
Latchford, Robey, Thompson, Kemp, Merrilll, Koons, Mil-
ler, Nicodemus, Annan, Grafton, Lee, Riley, Dawson,
Williams, McCosker, T. H. Hamilton, McWilliams, Stew-
art, of Baltimore city, McAleese, Gill, Hart, Loane, Green-
field, McColgan, Harig, Joyce, Groh, Fenton, Berry.
Grimes, Stake, Clark, Watkins, Fletchall, Wier, Wack,
Park, Brace, Waters, Vanderford. Brown, Maclin, Leon-
ard, Bedsworth, Glotfelty—70.

Mr. McColgan submitted the following order:

Ordered, That the Judiciary Committee have leave to sit
during the sessions of the House.

Which was adopted.

Mr. Johnson submitted the following order:

Ordered, That one thousand copies of the late Oyster Law,
as amended, be printed for the use of the members of this
House.

Mr. Stewart submitted as an amendment, that two thou-
sand copies be printed.

The question being on the amendment,
It was adopted.

The question recurring on the adoption of the order as
amended,

Mr. Koons demanded the yeas and nays.

The demand being sustained,
