tions that may be willing to take them, and returning the
pauper class to the counties from which they came.

On motion of Mr. Vanderford, (the rules being sus-
pended,)

The House proceeded to the consideration of

The bill entitled an Act to provide for the public printing
of the General Assembly of Maryland.

Said bill being upon its second reading,

Mr. Vanderford submitted the following amendment:
AMENDMENTS PROPOSED.

Amend section 2, end of line 8, by adding : "Provided,
That no bid evidently unfair or improper shall be enter-
tained."

The proposed amendment was adopted.

Said bill was then read a second time and ordered to be
engrossed for a third reading.
