On motion of Mr. McColgan, (the rules being suspended,)
The vote by which

The bill entitled an Act to appoint a Commissioner of Im-
migration to promote the interest of Labor and Agriculture
iu the State of Maryland, was rejected for want of a con-
titutional majority, was reconsidered.

On motion of Mr. Hart, (the rules being suspended,)
The House proceeded to the consideration of

The bill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed January
session, 1870, relating to the Registration of Voters, and re-
enact the same with amendments.

Said bill being upon a second reading.

On motion of Mr. Hart,
Was informally laid over until evening.

CHIEF CLERK OF THE HOUSE OF DELEGATES,

March 27th, 1874.

The following Acts of Assembly were this day presented
to his Excellency the Governor for his approval, viz :

158. An Act to appropriate certain fines to purchasing a
Law Library in place of the one destroyed by fire, for the
Circuit Court for Washington county.

159. An Act to approve an Act passed January session,
1872, chapter 242, entitled an Act to authorize the County
Commissioners of Calvert county to subscribe to the capital
stock of the Baltimore and Drum Point Rail Road Company,
as provided by section 54, Article 3, of the Constitution.

160. An Act to authorize the County Commissioners of
Frederick county to build a new jail and a work house for
Frederick county, to borrow money on the credit of the
county for that purpose, to issue bonds for the payment of
the same, to levy and collect taxes for the payment of such,
bonds and the interest on the same.

126. An Act to authorize the Town Commissioners of Ber-
lin, in Worcester county, to erect a guard-house in said
town.

161. An Act to amend an Act entitled an Act to incorpo-
rate the Bachman Valley Rail Road Company, passed at Jan-
uary session, 1870, authorizing and empowering the Presi-
dent and Directors of said Company, or a majority of them,
to issue the bonds of the said Company to an amount not ex-
ceeding fifty thousand dollars.
