It is with such feelings as these, gentlemen of the House,
that I am prompted to differ from the majority of the Com-
mittee, and therefore respectfully submit this Minority Re-
port.

Mr. Brace moved to substitute the Minority for the Majority
Report.

Which was decided in the negative.

The question then recurring upon the motion submitted by
Mr. Thompson,

It was concurred in,

And the Majority Report of the Committee was adopted.

Mr, Foster, Chairman of the Committee on Claims, report-
ed unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to reimburse the colored people of
Oxford Neck, for a loss by fire of their Church while in the
use of their Trustees as a school-bouse for the education of
colored children in Oxford Neck, Talbot county.

The question recurring upon the adoption of the report,

On motion of Mr. Valliant,

The unfavorable report of the Committee was non-concurred
in, and the bill substituted for the unfavorable report of the
Committee.

Said bill was then read a first time.

Also, unfavorably,

A bill entitled an Act to refund to Francis Neal & Sons,
of Baltimore City, for the benefit of John Parsons, Samuel
Cox and others, monies erroneously paid by them to Inspec-
tors of Tobacco in Baltimore City for storage and outage.

The question recurring upon concurring in the report of
the Committee,

On motion of Mr. Bond,

The report was non-concurred in, and the bill substituted
therefor.

Said bill was then read a first time, and,

On motion of Mr. Watkins,
Was referred to the Committee on the Judiciary.
