assist them in the repair of their loss sustained as aforesaid
by fire.

On motion of Mr. Loane,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to repeal sections 30 and 93, of chapter 471,
of the Act of 1868.

On motion of Mr. Annan,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Federal Relations
to introduce a hill in relation to the cession of certain lands,
near Fort Washington, to the United States,

On motion of Mr. Latchford,

Leave was granted to the Prince George's delegation to
introduce a hill to authorize the County Commissioners of
Prince George's county to purchase or have erected at Marl-
boro', a suitable dwelling for the Sheriff and Jailor.

' On motion of Mr. Nutwell,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to in-
troduce a bill to regulate the charges for passengers and
freights on all railroads in this State.

Mr. Stewart, of Baltimore City, from the Committee on the
Judiciary, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to amend Article 10, of the Code of
Public General Laws of this State, relating to Attachments,
by adding thereto an additional section relating to the at-
tachment of the wages or hire of non-residents of this State.

Which was read a first time.

The Secretary of the Senate delivered the following bill,

Endorsed, "Passed by yeas and nays:"

A bill entitled an Act to provide for Indexing the Land
and Chattel Records of Baltimore county.

Which was read a first time and referred to the Baltimore

county delegation.

Mr. Watkins, Chairman of the Committee on Ways and
Means, to whom had been referred

The bill entitled an Act making appropriation for the sup-
port of the State Government, for the year ending the 31st

day of December, 1872,

Eeported the same without amendment
