1058 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 25,

Mr. Stake, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported with-
out amendments,

The Senate bill entitled an Act to authorize and require
the County Commissioners of Washinton county to levy and
pay to Daniel Weisel, of Washington county, the sum of
three hundred dollars, as additional compensention for pro-
fessional services in the cases of the State vs. Mary E. Row-
land, and the State vs. Charles Carroll, removed from the
Circuit Court for Washington cou,nty.

Which was read a second time.

Mr. Turner, of Baltimore county, Chairman of a Select
Committee, reported favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to empower Joshua F. Cockey, of
Baltimore county, executor of Joshua F. Cockey, late of Balti-
more county, deceased, to donate a lot of ground to a Church
or a Religious Society, as he may select, and give title to the
same.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Glotfelty, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to incorporate the town of Deer Park,
in Garrett county.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Matthews, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A hill entitled an Act to repeal an Act passed at the Jan-
uary session of the General Assembly of Maryland, 1870,
chapter 99, entitled an Act to lay off streets in Baltimore
county adjoining Baltimore City, and to repeal certain Acts
inconsistent therewith.

Which was read a first time.

Mr. Feuton, Chairman of a Select Committee, reported
favorably,

A bill entitled an Act to authorize the Weigh-Master of
Live Stock in the City of Baltimore to sell such portion of
the property now belonging to the State, and not required
for ttie use of the State in the weighing of live stock.

Which was read a first time.

The bill entitled an Act to authorize the County Commis-
sioners of Baltimore county to appropriate a sum of money
to build a gas-house and pest-house on the grounds attached
to the new almshouse in said county,

Was read a second time and ordered to be engrossed for a
third reading.
