Turner, of Cecil, Mackey, Davis, Latchford, Thompson,
Kemp, Pruitt, Merrill, Koons, Miller, Nicodemus, Annan,
Grafton, Lee, Dawson, Williams, Cooper, G. R. Hamilton,
McWilliams, Foster, Staylor, Stewart, of Baltimore city,
McAleese, Gill, Hart, Loane, Greenfield, Joyce, Groh, Fen-
ton, Berry, Grimes, Stake, Clark, Watkins, Fletchall, Wier,
Wack, Park, Brace, Waters, Vanderford, Brown, Maclin,
Stewart, of Howard, Leonard, Glotfelty—68.

On motion of Mr. Henkle, (the rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted to the Anne Arundel delegation to in-
troduce a bill to provide that whenever any person may be
convicted in any of the Courts of Anne Arundel county of
any crime or misdemeanor, and who is liable under existing
law to be sentenced to imprisonment for a period not less than
three months and not exceeding three years, such Court may,
in its discretion, sentence such person to labor upon the pub-
lic roads of the county instead of such imprisonment.

On motion of Mr. Gill, (the rules being suspended,)

Leave was granted to the Baltimore City delegation to in-
troduce a bill entitled an Act to authorize the Mayor and
City Council of Baltimore to isssue bonds to an extent not to
exceed the sum of one million dollars, with which to pur-
chase the Baltimore City Passenger Railway, as authorized
by Act of the General Assembly.
