AMENDMENT PROPOSED.

Amend by adding at the end of the 9th section: "Provi-
ded however, That it shall be lawful for the County Commis-
sioners of any county in the State to employ any persons in
convicted and sentenced by the Court of such county, upon
the construction and repair of the public roads in such coun-
ty, at such times and in such manner as in their discretion
may subserve the public welfare."
