The House met, and was opened with prayer by the Rev.
Mr. Hedges.

Mr. Koons submitted the following order:
Ordered, Tbat it be entered on the Journal, that the ab-
scence of Mr. Koons from the sessions of the House during
the last week, was occasioned hy the severe indisposition of a
member of his family.
Which was adopted.
On motion of Mr. Merryman,
Leave was granted to the Committee on Pensions to intro-
duce a bill to pay arrears of pensions to Eliza Winningder,
of Baltimore City.
On motion of Mr. Nicodemus,
Leave was granted to the Frederick delegation to intro-
duce a hill entitled an Act to repeal section four of an Act
passed January session, 1870, chapter 400, entitled an Act
to authorize the Frederick and Pennsylvania Line Rail Road
Company, to build a railroad from Frederick city, the termi-
nus of the road, which it is authorized under its charter to
build, &c., and re-enact the same with amendments.
On motion of Mr. Fletchall,
Leave was granted to the Garrett delegation and Mr.
Fletchall to introduce a hill incorporating the town of Deer
Park, Garrett county,
