1010 JOURNAL OF PROCEEDINGS [Mar. 24,

On motion of Mr. Colton,

Leave was granted to Messrs. Colton, Henkle, Stewart, of
Baltimore City, Fletchall and Latchford, to introduce a bill
to appoint Commissioners to dispose of the Tobacco Ware-
houses of Baltimore City, and the appurtenances thereto.

On motion of Mr. Thompson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Corporations to
introduce a bill to amend the Act of Incorporation of Church
Hill, Queen Anne's county, Maryland.

On motion of Mr. Waters,

Leave was granted to the Committee on Inspections to in-
troduce a bill to repeal section 5, chapter 36, passed at January
session, 1872, and to re-enact the said section 5 with amend-
ments.

On motion of Mr. Dawson,

Leave was granted to the Committee on the Judiciary to
introduce a bill entitled an Act to repeal sections 40 and 49,
of Article 73, of the Code of Public General Laws, entitled
"Penitentiary," and to enact other sections in lieu thereof.

On motion of Mr. Hodson,

Leave was granted to the Dorchester delegation to intro-
duce a bill to incorporate the town of Vienna, Dorchester
county.

On motion of Mr. Merryman,
The House proceeded to the consideration of

The bill entitled an Act to improve the ground in front of
the State-House, in Annapolis.

Pending which,

Mr. Merryman moved that the-vote by which the enacting
clause was stricken out be reconsidered.

The question recurring upon concurring in the motion,

Mr. Merryman demanded the yeas and nays.
